Chaired by Chris Wyatt. This committee reviews construction, alterations, and landscape improvement plans within Burning Tree Ranch and requires that they be complementary to the natural surroundings, and that they comply with BTR protective covenants. Chaired by Doug Ostby. This committee focuses attention on the importance of fire mitigation in BTR and provides fire mitigation information to the community. It also informs residents of fire mitigation grant opportunities as they become available. Committee members serve terms of one year durations. This Board function (non-committee) is handled by Stephanie Nielsen. The purpose is to provide a voice for the BTR community with the Douglas County Commissioners, Planning Department, and Planning Commission on issues concerning BTR, including adjacent development proposals, building permits requested for the development, reviewing plans for adjacent developments, and providing comment to the Douglas County Planning Dept. and Planning Commission. This also includes attending meetings and testifying on behalf of the BTR community and informing the community on pertinent issues.
